Diseases for which Bone Marrow or Stem Cell Transplants Have Been Performed

Below is a list of diseases for which bone marrow transplants or stem cell transplants have been performed. The list is provided for informational purposes only. It would be impossible to compile such a list without some omissions. Also, there maybe diseases listed for which transplants are no longer being done. We’ve tried our best, but know this compilation isn’t perfect.

If you don’t find the specific disease you’re looking for, we suggest you go to the National Cancer Institute’s Web Site at www.cancer.gov. You can search their database for current and past clinical trials. You can also go to the National Marrow Donor Program’s site (www.marrow.org) and find transplant centers in their network and learn which diseases these centers treat with blood and marrow transplants.

Another resource is the Coalition of Cancer Cooperative Groups (www.clinicaltrialshelp.org). You can use their TrialCheck® tool for free.

We’ll do our best to keep the list updated. If you’d like to add to the list, please send us an email and tell us which disease you’re aware of that’s being treated with a transplant.
